Academics for Transfer Students 

Drake offers more than 70 undergraduate programs of study. You can combine majors or, with faculty guidance, create your own. You will acquire relevant and stimulating experiences by taking classes from any of Drake’s five undergraduate colleges and schools.

The Drake Curriculum, Drake’s general education requirements, is required of all undergraduates so transfer credits applied to these requirements are the same for all colleges and schools within the university. An evaluation of how transfer credits may be applied to Drake Curriculum requirements is prepared for each full- or part-time student upon admission to the university.Transfer students are not required to complete all of the coursework prior to enrollment at Drake. Students are strongly encouraged to keep course syllabi from transfer institutions so that a closer evaluation may be made in the event that a course may need to be re-evaluated for its applicability to the Drake Curriculum.
