Incoming first-year students are welcome to join the Honors Program. Applications for inclusion in the Honors Program in Fall 2011 are available below.
Drake University's unique Honors Program has no strict GPA requirements for participation in the Honors Program, though recommended qualifications are an ACT score of 29 or SAT-I score of 1270, grade point average of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale, or class rank in the top 5 percent. Admission to the Honors Program is not restricted to only those meeting these criteria; all motivated students looking for discussion-based and writing-intensive courses are are encouraged to participate.
Enrollment in the one-credit Honors First Year Practicum (fall semester course) requires an application on file by June 15 preceding the start of fall semester.
