Drake University's Office of Alumni and Parent Relations makes arrangements for a deluxe motor coach to bring students home to the Chicagoland/Milwaukee, and Minneapolis areas for Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break. There are TV/VCRs and a restroom on the bus. Students may bring their own videos and food. There is NO SMOKING on the bus. Luggage is limited to one standard size suitcase and a carry-on (i.e., a small backpack). No large plastic trash bags or small appliances, i.e. microwaves, will be transported in the cargo compartment.The round-trip cost is $135.00 per person for the Chicago bus, and $100.00 per person for the Minneapolis bus. There are no one-way fares. Seating is limited, so we operate on a “first come, first served” basis. There are no refunds unless the bus is over-booked or canceled.

We prefer that you register online, however, if you are not able to do so please fill out the attached release form and mail this with your check to the address on the release form.
You will receive a confirmation or your check will be returned if the bus is full or canceled. For the Fall Break bus, your form and check must be received by October 3, 2011.
In order to ensure our students’ safety, students will be asked to show their Drake student ID or a driver’s license when boarding the bus. Please make your student is aware of this procedure. You must also sign a release form for your student to travel on the bus. Please click here to access the form in .pdf format. Please print it out, fill it out, and mail it to the address on the form. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation.

NAPERVILLE: HYATT PLACE (27576 Maecliff Drive, park on south side of hotel)
O’HARE AIRPORT KISS’N’FLY LOT (Bessie Coleman Dr., beyond rental car return area)
GURNEE: MCDONALD’S PARKING LOT (southwest corner of Grand Ave. and Dilley’s Rd.)
KENOSHA: MCDONALD’S PARKING LOT off I-94 / Hwy 50 exit. (12214 75TH St)
Minneapolis Area
OWATONNA: Cabela’s (South bus parking lot – by museum)
LAKEVILLE: Target (I-35 and 185th Street)
MALL OF AMERICA: (exit Lindau Lane-North lot - east side by IKEA)
Students must be ready to board the bus 15 minutes before the specified times and locations. The bus will depart from Drake at the Olmsted Center pay parking lot. All students are checked in for the departure so it is crucial to contact Betty David if you are not riding the bus before 4:15pm on the day of departure; the bus must leave promptly at 5:00pm in order to stay on schedule. If your student has made alternate travel arrangements after registering for the bus, please contact Betty David at 1-800-44-DRAKE, ext. 3152.
